School is a place designed for students under the responsibility by Teachers. Schools relate to teachers and also students.

School is a place where we can be educated academically, mentally, spiritually, physically, and socially. That's why government require us to go to school at least 9 years (in Indonesia).

Some people would say there will be no schools or teachers in the future. It could be possible and also impossible, everything based on our visions. Technology is really booming this century and it really affect how teachers introduce the subject to the students and how students get the materials from the teachers. I don't think that school or teacher is going to be replaced by technology such as Internet and so on, because it looks like they are helping each other and also needing each other.

It is true that students are prefer studying with technology such as Internet and they don't need to discuss the materials with teachers because Internet is enough?  Internet is really open wide for everybody who wants to browse it. Students are very lucky that they can make their homework and send it to teacher by email, facebook or blog and now we have Google, internet is very helping students nowadays. Perhaps, in the future, Internet is over enough for students to explore the world. 

But Internet is not everything, Mostly students can not learn on their own or use the Internet itself, which may be the material contained in the Internet doesn't correspond with the level of their brain. Also, teachers are really helping our brain to grow by answering our question about materials that we don't understand. Facebook, twitter, or other social networking are not enough to help us socialize with people and friends. We can not learn lessons in our real life. The online games are not helping us in our physical body. May be we can sweat because too excited playing online games, but it does not healthy at all, it makes our eyes not healthy and lazy and our brain infected by radiation and etc. Our future have to be more healthy than present.

To conclude, I would like to say there will be teachers and schools in the future. Internet made by someone who had been schooling for years and used to be tought by teacher. I believe human intelligence will always be higher than artificial intelligence. Future will probably have teachers and also schools but they introduce the materials without whiteboard/blackboard but projector or something hi-tech, I would know that in the future.

Well, as you all readers know, school is a crucial part of someone’s life. By looking at people’s behaviors, we could sometimes tell which one is formally educated and which one is not.  School absolutely made differences in someone’s adolescence life, by feelings school has created for us who went there. Fights with friends, a boy crush, punishments from a scary teacher, those are what makes our day even brighter.

I’ve been doing a research lately about school; well, education mostly. And by what I’ve gained through the internet, looking back to the history of education, I can conclude that there was teaching involved in every stages of life.

The holy Koran said that the first human alive (prophet Adam AS) was taught by Allah Himself what and what not to do, what and what are not allowed, and what are things that necessary to keep us alive. Prophet Adam was told not to eat a certain fruit and he disobey that rule (he ate the fruit), which is why he got kicked out from heaven and lived in earth instead.

Since then, human being has been increasing, and kids were being taught informally by their parents, or extended family such as grandparents. Along with the traditions, they were being taught by people who aren’t necessarily family who shares the same religion or traditions (prophet, pastor, etc.).

When the development of writing came, education could be recorded in sorts of forms. Poems, literature, bibles, Korans could be read by so many people who has certain abilities to read and buy them.

Then the school was created, a place where people actually came to study. But back in those days, it was only for certain group who’s wealthier than the others. But then we (Indonesia) had this hero called Ki Hajar Dewantara who made schools possible for all stages of wealth and Raden Ajeng Kartini who made schools possible for all genders.

School is a place where we could hang with our friends. I’m sure that most people have most of their friends from their school. School makes a journey of someone’s life become unforgettable because of its memory, and of course those memories would be at least 30% based on how funny or either scary their teachers were. Without teachers, school would be just a building filled with a bunch of kids. We might not get as many benefits as schools should give.

I think, in the future, nothing could replace schools. Maybe nowadays we have the technology called 'home-schooling' where people students could receive their lessons via online without having to go to a certain building, but still, every country has a curriculum to be the controlling point for every schools in that country.

There might be robots in the future, but no such thing could replace teachers. Quoting my mother, “Teachers have hearts and feelings, and they use them to teach their students. No invention would be able to create hearts and feelings, except His invention.” And I positively agree with my mother’s opinion. With no feelings, lessons would be so hard to receive. Besides, every teacher has their own style of teaching and that’s what creates the memory and made the lessons fun, right? :)

School is just like every students' second home. They spend long hours there to reach their dreams by studying hard and socializing with their friends and teachers at the school. The word of school itself comes from Latin as skhole, scola, scolae, or skhola which mean free time or spare time, where students spend their free time or spare time at school for studying in the middle of their play time.

This era or even today, school has changed its meaning into a building or institution for teaching and learning as well as the receive and also provide knowledges. Indirectly, school is being such an important option to become successful in the future.

Now we're living in the present time, we're going to discuss that "Will there still be schools and teachers in the future?" For having the conclusion, we may talk forward for the future.

From my opinion, I am slightly confident that there will still be schools and also teachers in the future because from year to year ahead our grandchild or even great-grandchild would still need to receive knowledge as well as we have received at each schools. But maybe there will be some or overall differences between the-nowadays-school and the-future-school.

The differences may include a lot of technology and electronic as the most important races for the school. For an example, future school won't need any written books anymore, and future school will use computer directly as the 'paper' for writing or also doing some projects. Maybe nowadays school have chosen computer to do some projects at school but still they use papers and pencils for some projects too. Perhaps, in order to economize on paper usage, future school will use computer as their race for school's stuffs.

When we look and think forward, these things might as well bringing us to have some unique imaginations for the future. As the most basic stuff at school is the classes. You know nowadays school's classes are made blocks by blocks for each subjects and they have floors, walls, whiteboard, tables, chairs and other stuffs you know. We can imagine that in the future, future schools will have such as flying classes instead of floored classes, they might have password or keyword for each classes or maybe by pressing fingers then your fingerprint will be scanned, if the machine accepts your fingerprint you can come into the class as well. Or maybe that was too fantasize, but it can be happen like that. Who knows anyway. We as the humans here just work hard for reaching and having our goals and dreams but whenever, whatever it is, God will still decide whenever it is right or wrong for us, as the humans.

The point is from my opinion there will still be schools and teachers in the future but the schools will have a lot of differences with nowadays schools and also will be much more better than nowadays schools.

Will There Still be Schools and Teachers in The Future?

Some people may thought that in the future, there will be no schools and teachers. The statement maybe true, or maybe not. The fact that Internet and technology are now really help us with study, makes the statement about there will be no more schools and teachers in the future may happen. But I don't believe that it will really happen.

It is true that nowadays, students prefer to study with the Internet facility. We can access many information about the subject that we studied. Or maybe we can study in Online mode, means that we study by the Internet. The positive thing that we can take is, it will be more simple. You don't have to wake up early in the morning only to prepare for your study at school.

Let's think realistic. We will get many disadvantages too. With no teachers, there will be no one that we can ask question, or something that we don't understand. At the end, we won't get the lesson and we only waste our time. With no schools, we can't meet friends. It is true that we can always meet them outside schools, but let's face it. The time that we spend with friends at most is school time.

To conclude, I think there will still be schools and teachers in the future. I would like to say that the idea of "There will be no more schools and teachers in the future" is really fascinating. I mean, who won't be happy that there will be no school? But I think, we still need schools and teachers to help us, to guide us. Maybe the teachers and schools will not be the same like now, but there will still be schools and teachers. This is just my opinion. We can't predict many things that will happen in the future. Future changes.

Hi Readers! This is Rininta Ayunina or as this blog says ‘Erin’ taking over the blog. How was your first day of Ramadhan? I bet you guys feel as hungry as I did yesterday. :p

So, I kinda interviewed four of my classmates. The aim of my interview is to know how was their education life and what do they think about education system in Indonesia nowadays, which in my opinion isn’t as good as other countries.

I’m not gonna say the names of my interviewee for the sake of confidentiality. A little peek-a-boo, two of them went to the same junior high school, in Labschool Kebayoran, and two of them went to different junior high school but they both joined acceleration class.

So, I’ll be showing you my questions with each of those questions’ answers and conclusion. Q for me and A for interviewee.

Q: How was your days in elementary school?

A: All of the interviewee said that elementary school was fun. The teachers were kind and there are some of the teachers that has bad tempers but they all think it is okay. One of the interviewee said that the school even provided board games to kill the boredom. Conclusion: elementary school was fun and the teachers were kind.

Q: When you get out from your old school and start to be a student of junior high school, how did you handle with the adaptation?

A: Three of the interviewee said that they often get confused at the beginning but as the time goes, they find it not so difficult. One of the interviewee that joined the acceleration class said that the seniors were very welcoming. Conclusion: the adaptation wasn’t so difficult.

Q: How was your days in junior high school?

A: All of the interviewee said that junior high school was tiring. To be more detail, in the 7^th grade they got tired because of the adaptation, in 8^th grade they got tired because of the activities, and in 9^th grade they got tired because of the preparation for the national examination. The teachers were kind, but not kinder than their teachers in elementary school. One of the interviewee said that the school provided a computer for the classes. Conclusion: junior high school was tiring but the teachers were kind.

Q: What do you think of the education in Indonesia nowadays? And what governments should do to improve?

A: One of the interviewee said that the governments wants the students to master every single aspects so they forgot the details and the students couldn’t really master one aspect perfectly. Three of the interviewee said that the governments neglect the students’ talents and interests and personality issues and too focused about academics and high grades. Three of the interviewee said that the governments should allow students to choose their main subject based on their talents and interests and one of the interviewee said that the government should build more school that also focusing about personality and character. Conclusion: Indonesia’s education is still far from good and the governments should think more of the benefits that students would get.

              As we've seen previously that quoted by Wikipedia, fashion is just not a bunch of clothes in your closet where branded stores sell them and you buy them with money then you will be called as a Fashion Goddess. It's about what you wear without seeing the brands and you comfort with it, but it has not reached the true meaning yet as if wearing swimsuits when it's winter.

             Teenagers love shopping especially those girls. Shopping bags can be their bestfriend, not really, it should be credit cards for being their bestfriend when they go shopping. Yeah, we all know shopping is a consumptive activity which takes a lot of money to earn the stuffs we want to buy at the shops. Year turned into years, fashion era also changed from zero to hero, hahahaha. Fashion designers are not all adults, teenagers also can be a fashion designer. In Indonesia, there's a lot of teenager fashion designers too, they are very talented. 

             'What-to-wear' is so fashion, well, of course it is. How about the others? 'Where-to-wear', 'When-to-wear'? Are they is so fashion too as 'What-to-wear'? We'll discuss some of them after this and I'll post some of my interviews with a few of my classmates.

            'What-to-wear'

           T-shirts and jeans, the perfect pair of outfits when we have nothing to wear. A lot of teenagers love to wear that perfect pair of outfits. But those two are not the only types of clothes. I'm not going to explain every-types-of-clothes in fashion industry, but will explain the generals and some uniques. 

           When you open Fashion Online Shop such as stylesofia.com, topshop.com or even net-a-porter.com, you'll see the categories such as Tops, Skirts, Pants, Outwears, Dresses, or even Beachwear and the other options. For an example, Outwears, it includes Cardigans, Jackets, Blazers, Vests and also Sweaters, another example, Tops, it includes Crop Top, T-Shirt, Shirt, Tanktops and others. 

           But mostly, the shapes can be variated not all of them looks like the general one. These stuffs are basically the basic of fashion, if you do not own clothes, how can you be a fashion icon or less as a human being? :p

 'Where-to-wear'

            At school, you wear uniform and so it is at the beach, you wear swimsuits not uniform. Yeah, but generally this one is not really matter, it's all back to yourself. Like when you hang out at the mall, you can wear anything you want to wear but still remember it has to be suitable hahahaha.. can you imagine if you wear bikini to the mall? That's not really suitable. 

           Another thing, when you're invited to a friend's party or prom night you'll see the dresscode which is written on the invitation, right? Teenagers love party.

'When-to-wear'

               Can you mention five seasons we have? Yes, summer, winter, fall and spring. Each seasons are absolutely different and each seasons also have kind of style to wear.

               Summer, well, everybody loves summer so do I. The sun is very hot so be ready to drink lemonade with a lot of ices. Summer is when you can go to the beach all day long and tanning yourself, but not really like that, you can wear shorts and tanktops and sunglasses when it's summer. Fun, right?

               Snows everywhere, yeah, it's winter. Windy. Cold. Icy. All you have to wear is warm clothes to cover your body from the coldness outside and also thick clothes such as jackets and also gloves and don't forget earphones to cover your ears :-)

               Last but not least the season, umm I meant two seasons when leaves are falling everywhere there, here, anywhere from the trees and also flowers bloom everywhere but in different times. So, it's fall and spring! Yeah,  in these seasons you can wear anything that is suitable, let's just call it as casual. When it's fall, it can be so windy and cold but not as cold as when it's winter, so be ready with your cardigans and a cup of tea but when it's spring be ready with your new flower dress and cookies. Hahahahaha.

1. What's Fashion? *answer personally*

                 A: Things that worn on our bodies. 

                 B: The way you wear something that shows your true color.

                 C: Clothes with sense of art.

                 D: Fashion is a style! Not only for clothes, but for all things. And it makes things

                      look better.

                 E: A prevailing custom or style of dress, etiquette, socializing and also manners.

                 F: Fashion is the thing we deal with everyday, even though some people said that

                      they don't like fashion, but they sometime fuss  about the clothes they wear

                 G: Fashion is way we pair clothes in our way.

2. Is fashion really important and taking effects to the world? And why?

                 A: Of course yes, because if there's no clothes.. what should we wear else?

                 B: Yes, because fashion is like hobby, a lot of great people from around the world

                      can gather and make a fashion community to take the world one step ahead.

                 C: Yes, because if we don't have the sense of fashion, we would be so 

                      old-fashioned also being superannuate and people don't want to be left behind.

                 D: For me, not really. Because without fashion, we can still invented a great thing.

                 E: 50% yes, 50% no. Fashion can be combined with other things so that they can 

                     complement each other.

                 F: Yes because we deal with fashion everyday even it's a little thing to us.

                 G: Yes, because with fashion we can united the world.

3. Which famous brands do you usually buy stuffs to?

                 A: Biyan, an Indonesia fashion brand

                 B: Zara, Pull and Bear

                 C: Zara

                 D: Guess

                 E: Topshop, Forever 21, Rubi

                 F: Zara, or... I don't know - it depends on the stuffs they sell.

                 G: Pull and Bear!!

4. What's the best pair of clothes do you like?

                 A: Casual pair of t-shirt and jeans

                 B: Oversized tee + high-waisted short + old sneakers will do

                 C: T-shirt and khaki pants :-P

                 D: T-shirt, vest + Jeans!

                 E: A tanktop with scarfs and dark jeans!! Accessories will do such as glamour 

                      necklace, one bracelet :-)

                 F: Going simple with jeans and t-shirt nor blouse with converse chucks or flats :)

                 G: Really love to wear t-shirt and jeans. The best combination. Ever.

Hey guys! What's up? Just so you know, the aim of this report is to present what is popular in Labschool Kebayoran. I interviewed some of my classmates about music. I asked them 5 questions about genre, band, solo singer and songs.

• Genre

    First of all I'm going to tell you what is genre. Genre is the term for any category of literature or other forms of art or culture, e.g. music, and in general, any type of discourse, whether written or spoken, audial or visual, based on some set of stylistic criteria. 

    40% of my friends chose Pop as their favorite genre, but each one of them have their own favorite genre such as RnB, Rock and Techno. I personally will choose Pop and RnB as my favorite genre.

• Band

       The majority of people answered a different answer bacause there are so many bands out there and they have their own favorite. Their favorite bands are Girls Generation, Daftpunk, Gugun Blues Shelter, Panic! At the Disco and All Time Low.  The most of bands that I've wrote are the western bands, but two of my friends chose Girls Generation that originally from Korea and Gugun Blues Shelter from Indonesia as their favorite bands. It means, good bands aren't only from western, but Asians and other regions also have a good-quality bands!

        Same like the others, my friends have their own answer for their favorite solo singer. They chose Taylor Swift the American country-singer, Sky Ferreira, David Cook the American singer who rose to fame after winning the 7th season of American Idol, the teenage darling and Bieber's date Selena Gomez and Adele.

• Songs

         This time, I asked my friends about their top 3 favorite songs. Some of them are really confused because she loves so many songs, but she said she probably love to listen to K-Pop (Koreans Pop). Their favorite songs are Gone Away - Bag Raiders, Happy Dre - Sky Ferreira, Edge of Glory - Lady Gaga, Set My Soul On Fire, Talking To The Moon - Bruno Mars, Hysteria, Ready To Go - Panic! At The Disco, Round and Round - Selena Gomez, E.T - Katy Perry. Among my friends, chose American songs. None of them chose Indonesian songs. So pathetic.

To conclude, Labsky students are probably prefer Western songs than Indonesian because some of them said that the lyric and the quality of western music is way better than the Indonesian music.
